The Vinaya seminars usually held once a year for five days have continued, and in 1999 LNAfurther developed its teaching programs to include other religious instructions.
Two years later, in 2001, a seminar entitled "Responsibility of being a Nun" brought nuns from all over Ladakh to learn and share with one another. a ten-day teaching was organised at Thiksey nunnery, attended by 22 elderly nuns who hitherto had no opportunity to learn as a community. All the nuns had a retreat for two weeks in the LNA nunnery at Leh. It included activities such as chanting, meditation, prostrations, fasting and practicing Avalotikeshvara visualisations for world peace and for the well being of sponsors and well wishers of LNA. “It was most touching to hear an old nun expressing her deep gratitude on hearing the teachings which, in thirty five years of monastic life, she never hoped she would receive. The young nuns also realized that their lives will be very different from that of their elders, and that the door for them to be educated, to lead an active social life and to receive teaching, had been opened.”

The LNA organises the gatherings in various nunneries around Ladakh in order to provide access to the Dharma teachings to as many nuns as possible.
