Tsering Dolkar PDF Print E-mail

Tsering-Dolka I am known as Tsering Dolkar. I was born on 27-Jan-1995 in a beautiful village called Shara. It took two and a half hours to get to Leh town. I have one sister and one brother. Both of my parents are farmers. I became a nun at the age of ten years and joined LNA in 2007. I became a nun because from the childhood my health remained not good.

From the advice of Lamas, at least I thought I could spend my life in the peace and happiness that is acheived by following the Buddha's teaching and path. And I came to know that the nun's life can be lived through peace and propertity. My aim in life is to give moral education on the Buddha's teachings in remote areas. I feel very proud to be a part of LNA and I want to serve LNA throughout my life.

Today, LNA is giving monastic education as well as modern education. I am in Siddharta High School in 6th class and I am studying English, Hindi, Tibetan, Maths, Science, Social Studies and Computers. Our school has classes from nursery up to 10th class. We have 30 teachers and about 800 students in the school. It also has 4 school busses. I am getting this chance only due to LNA support.

Thank You LNA.
